Echoes sets learners the challenge of answering a series of questions about Liverpool and the the great Irish potato famine.

Answering questions correctly means getting awards for a certificate.

All the information needed to answer these questions is available for learners to find and use by interacting with animations, watching videos or reading text.

Answering Questions

In Echoes of Ireland you will be presented with snapshots of everyday life from 1844 to the present day to investigate and explore.

Each section has four questions. Answering two correctly will win you a silver medal, answering all four correctly will win you a gold medal.

You can research the answers to the questions by exploring the backgrounds and clicking on people or things that look interesting and using the research tools on the bar at the bottom of the screen.

  • To try answering a question you need to click on the question window where it says ANSWERS.

  • Listen to the question then select an answer.

  • If you get it right you will progress to the next question.

  • If you get it wrong you will be given some feedback and then allowed to have another go.

You are in control use whatever tools and resources you feel that you need to conduct your research as an when you need to.

Don't forget to check your awards from time time to see how well you are doing!
